A clover from my yard, sometime this summer.
Have a great weekend.

A flower for your friday, and a happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Simple, for those who are not hosting. A wonderful meal, a time to break bread with the folks we love best. My best, softest, remembrance of Thanksgiving, is a look out the kitchen window as my mom washed and I dried dishes, after dinner, after dark. The road’s blanketed in the first heavy snow, under the streetlights, and the houses across the street covered in snow.

Best to you all.

On a sunny, warm, November afternoon, I can’t ignore the morning glory’s fresh periwinkle bloom.

Tomorrow is Veterans Day, and I want to voice my gratitude to all our veterans for the freedoms we enjoy every day. Have a great weekend everyone.

These were blooming along a trail one warm, almost-sunset walk about a week ago. Purple ageratum-like blooms as well as some distinctly different and bright yellow wildflowers…easy to spot among a season’s worth of drying vegetation.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I understand morning glories are often late bloomers, but I only got my first flower about a week ago. It’s nice to continue getting new flowers, though.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I don’t have to count to know I feature hydrangeas in these posts more than any other variety. They’re dependable. I have a number of hydrangea plants, and they always have something to offer.

Have a good weekend.
