In a week so full of destruction and human suffering, it would seem disconnected to say simply these are flowers for your Friday. Each day brings pictures more heartbreaking than the day before. And yet, each day we see pictures of remarkable strength and determination in an environment that is so very troubling. I hope and pray the situation improves, somehow, for the Ukrainian people, so they can prevail and recover a way of life they see as their own.
